Another leaf on the ground

I picked up a beautiful dry leaf when walking the dogs the other day. Had a heck of a time trying to render values in this dull foggy light. Though I'd post the sketch anyway. It's amazing how quickly one gets out of practise.

Alina - thank you. That is a very kind comment comming from you. I loved your blog and had to smile at your description of painting in sub-zero temperature.

Love the leaf - both the pencil and the colour version. Are you a member of Everyday Matters group?

Andrea - many thanks for your kind encouragement. I joined the Everyday Matters Group a while back but have been too shy to post to date.

This is just fantastic... to take something as simple as this and turn it into an artwork!
